Product Description: Now available in paperback! The New York Times bestselling authors show readers how to feel like newlyweds every day.
He's helped 12 million people reduce the stress at home and at work. Now the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Don't Sweat the Small Stuff, Richard Carlson with Kristine, his wife of 14 years bring us a simple, stress-free approach to love. While depression, heartache, and anger are associated with love relationships, stress is rarely identified as a problem. Yet we all have concerns about our most important relationships. In one hundred brief, beautifully written essays, the authors show readers how not to overreact to a loved one's criticism, how to appreciate your spouse in new ways, how to get past old angers, and many other ways to improve and increase the joy and pleasure that can and should be part of any relationship.
Amazon.com Review: This little book packs a lot of love advice. 'Whatever shape your relationship is in--from troubled to absolutely wonderful--it can be even better, with very little effort,' promise husband and wife Richard and Kristine Carlson. (Richard Carlson's original Don't Sweat the Small Stuff has sold more than a million copies.) In 100 essays, you learn simple strategies that 'lighten your spirits, open your heart, enhance your life, and broaden your perspective.' A tall order for a tiny book! (Actually, the book is only tiny because the print is small enough to make boomers and older readers wonder if they need stronger reading glasses--who made that silly decision?)
Many of the two- to three-page essay topics are familiar tips you've probably encountered before--let go of past history, be best friends, stop keeping score, be kind, express your love, be a good listener, and remember that your partner can't read your mind, for example. But even though they aren't earth-shaking or revolutionary, having 100 of them in one book makes it easy to read chapters with your partner and share views, discussing ways to put each strategy into action. And certainly if you use even a quarter of these relationship reminders, you and your partner can't help but become closer. This is the first book Richard has written with his wife, Kristine. The essays grew out of what the Carlsons have learned about keeping a relationship vital and loving over 14 years of marriage. --Joan Price

Rating: - Just like all the other "Don't Sweat..." books
This book is the exact same concept as all the other "Don't Sweat..." books, it's just dealing with love.
I really like the writing style of the author (and his wife, who will "guest" author some of the chapters) and it's very easy to read.
I started to read the book over a year ago but still retain some of the concepts I read which means they really get the point across in the short chapters.
I would recommend this book for anyone in a loving (or not loving - it may help then too) ... Read More
Rating: - cute anecdotal book
Cute book. It makes you think about what is really important in a relationship.
Rating: - Good book to keep focused on love.
Many times life can become overwhelming. Don't sweat the small stuff in love can keep you focused on the most important thing in life--love. A good book for inspiration and remembering what matters. Annie Lawrence, author of Love's Secret Live Your Life In Love.
Rating: - a "must read" for all who want to stay married
First given to me by my Best Man, I've since given copies or recommended this book to many friends and relatives, including my wife. With about 35 years of marriage under my belt, "Small Stuff" provides a great refresher course to concentrate on what really matters. Written in many (90-100?) two or three page chapters, it is a book that is convenient to read one-chapter-at-a-time, which also allows time for each chapter's message to sink in! Apply it, and it will improve any relationship, not just ... Read More
Rating: - Not the best
This book was okay. A lot of it was self-explanatory things. Others might find it helpful, but I didn't think it was worth buying.
