My family has always loved the poems Of James Whitcomb Riley, so that is the author I had chosen. The book I'd picked is Joyful poems for Children. It was copy righted in 1892-1946, but only became available with illustrations in 1946.
Most of the poems in this book remind me of the seasons. The descriptions of the children, flowers, snow and the animals give you very vivid pictures in your mind. The author had a very good way of allowing your imagination to see the image he was projecting. ... Read More
