I read this book with my 7th graders, and some were so interested that they had more order them their own copies! It's a little high for 7th grade, but if you do a read aloud, the kids love it!

This is a very powerful story about life in an E. R. The book shows the feelings and problems of the staff, the wounded, and the families waiting. The author writes the very essence of the difficult things one must do in such situations. This is the best work yet.
