Rating: - Not every kid is ADD no matter what they say
I have a kid who is possibly ADD or possibly just a kid. This book is OK and readable enough but the Barnum effect insures that you see any kid within it's pages. Take it with a grain of salt.
Rating: - The ADD/ADHD Checklist: A Practical Reference for Parents and Teachers
This book is an excellent read and reference tool for parents and teachers who have children with ADD/ADHD. I have this book tabbed and use as both a parent and teacher.
Rating: - This is the best book on ADD/ADHD I have read
I have purchased many books on ADD/ADHD, and have found this one to be the best! The rest of the books on ADD have all found their way to the tip or to fete bookstores over the years. This book provides both practical and detailed advice for parents in the form of useful checklists. Other books on this subject matter tend to be too fatalistic and theoretical. This is pro-active and practical!
I thoroughly recommend this book.
Rating: - A very helpful book for any parent of a child with ADD/ADHD
This book is a very good "first book" to start with if you are researching how to help your child. It is written in simple terms that parents can understand. It gives helpful tips on setting up your child's environment in order to help them be more successful. I have read many books on this subject, and this is a staple book for any parent of a child with ADD/ADHD.
Rating: - The ADD/ADHD Checklist
This is an excellent, reader-friendly guide to ADD/ADHD. It is useful for parents and teachers alike, an it allows the reader to get answers to their questions quickly by simply looking through the detailed subject index to their specific issue. Topics like medication alternatives, specific approaches for parents, educational guidelines, and teaching strategies are but a few of the topics covered in this book. As an educator with experience dealing with ADHD children, I highly recommend this ... Read More
