Product Description: Seventh in the hilarious New York Times bestselling series featuring Vampire Queen Betsy Taylor—now with a hot new look.
The series New York Times bestselling author Christine Feehan calls “DELIGH TFUL, Wicked Fun” is looking hotter than ever…
“No one does humorous romantic fantasy better than the incomparable MaryJanice Davidson” (The Best Reviews), and nobody reigns over the undead with more savvy than her heroine Betsy Taylor, back to rule the nights as Vampire Queen––and survive the days as a new suburban bride. But it’s not all marital bliss. Betsy’s husband, Sinclair, has been perusing The Book of the Dead, Betsy’s being hounded by a ghost who’s even more insufferable in death than in life, and a pack of formerly feral vampires has decided to pay an unwelcome visit…

Rating: - Not my favorite in this series
I have enjoyed the Queen Betsy series but have mixed feelings about this book.
To start with, I really hate the new cover art. If the first books in the series had this art, I don't think I would have picked them up. I don't care for the more serious vampire novels -- I only read the light and humorous ones.
I'm somewhat troubled by the author's note that the new cover art signals a new direction the series is going. This cover is darker and this book was darker and ... Read More
Rating: - Laugh out loud as always
I Love the Undead series by Mary Janice Davidson. She is one of my top favorite authors I will turn to for a good laugh and entertaining story.
If you haven't read the earlier books in the series, I suggest you do. The first book in the series is, "Undead and Unwed".
In this book, Betsy is now married and dealing with a slew of paranormal issues including: Haunted by her step-monster, fiends with a vendetta and hate from her best friend's boyfriend. As always, Betsy trips ... Read More
Rating: - Embracing Her Inner Royalty
What a great read! MJD always deliver spectacular fun at a roller coaster pace. It is so enjoyable to be able to grab one of her books and dive in for a little fantasy.
The new Betsy is spectacular! As she continues to evolve and discover her ability to truly embrace her queenly duties, she becomes even more likable. You have to love a strong female character who knows what she wants and how to get things done.
And the other characters in this book are fantastic. the devil's daughter? ... Read More
Rating: - Amazing
This was a quick read like her other books but I did not like the ending but after reading Dead And Loving It(A Fiend in Need) made everything come together in the end. Also the first killing of the fiends really made me sad because it was my favorite character. This book has quite a bit of blood and not a lot of laughs. Personally the cover sucks-if it was in a bookstore I would have just walked past it and picked up another book.
Rating: - Hope for a Harder Edge
I've loved the Undead series so far, but Betsy has used up her "I'm new at this and so don't take it seriously" gimmick. That author Davidson seems to be taking the character in a new, slightly tougher, direction is good. Not that I want the lightheartedness to go away, but Betsy needs to evolve for the series to maintain some momentum. This book is arguably a bit thin, but if, as promised, it serves as a bridge to a new level for Betsy, it's worth it. I'll be buying the eighth book in the series to ... Read More
