Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Junie B. Jones such a terrific series of books!
The Junie B. Jones books are truly a delight to read. We as readers get to see her start out as a kindergartner, and then graduate to first grade. From the first word in the first book, Junie B. and Barbara Park get you hooked on such a wonderful piece of childrens literature.

She uses words that are funny to describe people and to explain things around her.It is also hilariously entertaining to hear Junie call her best friend "That Grace" and her kindergarten teacher "Mrs."; ... Read More

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Rude language, bad grammerand an obnoxious heroine
As the mother of a 5 year old, I was hoping that Junie B. would be a good read since its main character is a kindergartner/first-grader. BUT, I was hugely disappointed. Barbara Park tries very, very hard to emulate Beverley Cleary in creating a rambunctious, not-so-polite youngster who other children can relate to. However, unlike Cleary's Ramona Quimby, Junie B. is a just plain rude. These books include sentences like "I think Grampa's a sucker", "He got hit right in the kisser", "Carnivals are rip ... Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Excellent
My 5 year old granddaughter loves these books. They keep her attention and she loves to hear how the story turns out.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - if it help my 6 year old enjoy reading, im game!
I have not personaly read these books, but my oldest daughter liked them and my 6 year old cant put them down. In my oppinion, if it gets them to enjoy reading and doesnt damage thier ability to speak normaly... its all good:) My daughter has great grammar and articulation, the books seem very interesting and easy for her to read. Im buying her the first and second boxed sets for her birthday.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Appalling.
This book and several other Junie B. Jones books were given to my daughter by a family member. I was appalled by the abuse of the English language. Fans of these books say that "Kids are going to talk that way anyway, so it's just realistic." If you want to dumb your kid down to join the legions of morons, then by all means, purchase these books, and you will be well on your way to achieving your goal. If a 10-year old wants to read The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, with its linguistic non-conformities, ... Read More
