Editorial Review:

Product Description:
At around age 18—24 months, toddlers learn to perform the hand gestures and words of baby games such as This Little Piggy, Round and Round the Garden, and others. This book collects a dozen of the most familiar baby games.

Amazon.com Review:
As they approach their second birthday, many children begin to enjoy playing classic baby games such as This Little Piggy, Pat-a-Cake, and Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes. And who better to teach these rhymes and games than the Sesame Street gang? Throughout this big square board book, baby Bert and Ernie, Cookie Monster, and Big Bird help toddlers learn the hand gestures and words to a dozen familiar games. Parents or teachers can guide their charges, using the smaller print under each verse. ('Gently clap baby's hands together. Roll baby's hands, pat them, then trace a large B on baby's front. Point at baby, then at yourself.') The Sesame Beginnings series (Cookie See! Cookie Do!, etc.) is a cute, fun way to help children from birth to 36 months attain important developmental milestones, such as hand-eye coordination and gross motor skills. (18 to 24 months) --Emilie Coulter

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The Best book in the series
I bought several of these seasame street beginings books. This one is my daughter's favorite. And it is the most book for the money. Many classic songs or poems that are illustrated with bright cheery characters. This one is the best! Good for any age, even though they say age brackets (top right hand corner of the cover the book), this one will last beyond the reccomended age. I have read it to her since she was 3 months old.

My 1 yr old daughter now says, Elmo & Ernie. She ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Good book for babies and toddlers
I purchased this book for my daughter. The illustrations are bright and cheery. The rhymes for pat-a-cake were great (including instructions on how to do the different hand movements for other rhymes). There were rhymes I have never heard of and she loved them. A great book for adults to spend quality time with their children.

(The only negative remark I have for this book is that I wish they used a more clear font. Although you can read it, it sometimes takes a second glance when you ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Wonderful book!
My son has loved the Sesame Beginnings books since he was a few months old. We keep buying the new age range books as he gets older. He still loves the earliest ones and gets so excited whenever we show them to him. I recommend all the Sesame Beginnings books to help teach children to enjoy learning and reading. Pat-A-Cake is a favorite of my 15 month old son!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Bright pictures, lovely book
I have been reading this book to my now 1 year old daughter since 4 months of age. She was instantly captivated by bright pictures. Added to that are the collection of rhymes that can be played with the child. When I read out "Five little ducks..." She answers back saying "Quack Quack Quack".
