Editorial Review:

Product Description:
During the second year, babies master basic physical actions such as standing, sitting, and reaching; imitation plays a big part in this learning. Each spread of this gatefold book presents characters demonstrating simple actions. Rhyming text encourages the child to try as well.

Amazon.com Review:
The Sesame Street baby Muppets know just how it is to be a 12 to 18 month old. Nothing is more fun than copying the movements and gestures of other people. So when Elmo says, 'Touch your nose. Touch your toes,' tots will be tickled to join Cookie Monster and Grover: 'Cookie see, Cookie do! Grover, too. So can YOU!' Sesame Beginnings is an entertaining, developmentally sequenced board book series that provides building blocks to literacy and learning. Toddlers will love turning the sturdy pages of the brightly colorful Cookie See! Cookie Do!, flipping back the foldout in every spread to see Cookie Monster and other familiar characters demonstrating the activities Elmo introduces: jumping up and down, reaching up high, standing up tall, and giving hugs. Don't miss Pat-a-Cake, Baby Faces, or any of the other titles in this adorable series. (12 to 18 months) --Emilie Coulter

Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Not my favorite of the series
This is an okay book, but it's not my favorite of the Sesame Beginnings series. My 18 month old skips to the pages he likes & says "all done" when he gets bored with the other pages. Good for introducing all the SS characters though.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Not the Best of Sesame Beginnings, but not bad
My 6 month old son LOVES "How Big is Baby Elmo", so I bought several other Sesame Beginnings Books, thinking that they'd all be as good. Not quite. This one is good, but I think I bought it too early for him. I'll bring it back out in a few months and see how he likes it then.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Check it out of the library instead
I only bought this cos my little one was going through a Cookie Monster phase, but it truly was a waste of money...there's not much in this book...and for the price, its better to get it from the library instead.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - LOVE IT!!!!!!!
My baby loves this book. I began reading it to him at five months. He goes crazy for this book and the Peakaboo book. THis is a favorite, and I intend to keep it forever.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Thi is a must have book!!
We started off w/ the sesame books when my son was 3 months old. We started w/ clang clang bang bang and he loved it. Since then we have bought about 4 more books. He absolutly loves them. Now he is 16 mths old and he does everything this book tells them to do. I think this set has definitly taught my son and lot of new things. AWESOME BOOKS..
