Rating: - Great Book!
I borrowed this book from the library and liked it so much I bought a copy for our home library. It is written in story format so it is interesting to read and there are activities, games, and even a recipe for johnnycakes that we make often! This book and the companion one on the New Nation are well worth owning, especially if you homeschool like I do. It covers the colonists, slavery, Native Americans, and why some of the different colonies were founded.
