I greatly admire Henri Nouwen's life and his entire collection of writings (40+ books). This Dutch priest, a Yale and Harvard professor, gave up his teaching to seek out God's call for his life. He eventually settled in the L'Arche Daybreak Community in Toronto Canda for the last ten years of his life as chaplain and caregiver to the mentally retarded residents.
