Rating: - Gets you through the day
Good to read every day or if you're going through a difficult time, really helps. Not filled with religious statements.
Rating: - Wonderful
This is a wonderful book that I reach to whenever I feel downhearted or in need of peace. My copy, the 1991 gift edition with leather "hard cover" and thin pages has been a pleasure and a comfort to hold in the hand. The authors have done a wonderful job plucking quotes from many sources and across many years. The nondenominational aspect of this book makes it useful and accessible to us all, regardless of religion.
Rating: - THE PROMISE OF A NEW DAY: a Book of Daily Meditations
I am delighted with the book especially since I found a very clean, good condition used leather-bound version. I have used this meditation booklet for at least 30 years. Rating: - did not like.
Just could not read this book. It was one of those books that was just too hard to read.
Rating: - Universal
I've really enjoyed this so far - I started reading one a day in January. It has been a wonderfully inspirational, daily reading. I've also really liked being able to share it with my Christian family as well as my agnostic friends. The sentiments are universally applicable. Even the cynics I've share readings with have been moved.
