Rating: - Different from the other If You Give books, but not bad
This book is definitely not the same format as the other If You Give books. As another reviewer mentioned, it is primarily a counting books without many words. However, my toddler enjoyed it. We had a good time pointing out and examining the many ornaments on the last page.
Rating: - If you like Mouse Cookies...
...you must get this for Christmas. My little one fell asleep with this in his arms on Christmas Eve. You have to read the other Mouse books to appreciate it, but it is extra special for Mouse lovers at Christmas.
Rating: - Merry Christmas Mouse!
I was not aware that the book was a small board book. I intended to use it for my classroom, but reconsidered because of size and being a board book.
Rating: - Very disappointing
We love the "If you give" books and thought this would be a great addition to our library. I was very disappointed when it arrived and I went to read it to my kids. There isn't a story. It's just very few words per page and a very basic counting book. Would not recommend it in the future.
Rating: - Not what I was expecting
If you love the "If you give a mouse a cookie" books - this is not it! It is pretty much a very simple counting book. Not what I was hoping to show my 4 and 5 year olds. It is not very long and the pages are very sturdy, so it would be great for a toddler. My boys were not that impressed with it and neither was I.
